This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use our platform. Shopnify is a Cash on Delivery (COD) marketplace. We collect only the minimum information needed to run the platform. We do not store bank account details, CNIC, identity documents, or any financial credentials.

We collect only what is necessary to operate the platform: INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE • Account Information: Your name, email address, and phone number when you register. • Seller Store Profile: Store name, store description, business address, and store images (logo and banner) to create your public seller page. • Product Listings: Product titles, descriptions, images, and pricing that you submit as a seller. • Communications: Messages exchanged through the platform's built-in chat feature. INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY • Technical Data: IP address, device type, and browser information — used only for security and preventing abuse. • Session Cookies: Essential cookies to keep you logged in securely. WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT • We do NOT collect or store CNIC, national ID, or any identity documents. • We do NOT collect bank account numbers, credit card details, or mobile wallet credentials. • We do NOT perform KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. • We do NOT store monthly billing or payment card information.

Your data is used strictly to operate Shopnify: • To create and manage your account (buyer or seller). • To display your seller store and product listings to buyers. • To connect buyers and sellers for Cash on Delivery orders. • To send order confirmations, notifications, and account security alerts. • To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity on the platform. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose beyond operating Shopnify.

We share your data only when necessary: • Buyer-Seller Orders: When a COD order is placed, the buyer's name, phone number, and shipping address are shared with the seller to complete delivery. • Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by Pakistani law, court order, or regulatory authority. • Service Providers: We use Cloudinary (image storage) and Google Analytics (anonymous traffic data). These providers do not receive personally identifiable information beyond what is technically necessary. We never sell your personal data to any third party.

We take security seriously: • All site traffic is TLS/SSL encrypted. • Passwords are securely hashed using bcrypt — we never store plain-text passwords. • Images are stored on Cloudinary with restricted access. • We follow a minimal data collection approach — the less we store, the less can be exposed. We retain your data only as long as your account is active: • Active accounts: Your profile, store, and listing data are kept while your account remains open. • Account deletion: When you request account deletion, your personal data, store profile, and listings are permanently removed from our systems. • Legal hold: In rare cases involving fraud investigations or legal proceedings, we may be required to retain certain records for a limited period. As a user of Shopnify, you have the right to: • Access the personal data we hold about you. • Correct any inaccurate information in your account. • Request deletion of your account and associated data. • Withdraw consent at any time by closing your account.
